Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has a new unlucky girlfriend. All though he might not have wanted that but his bad luck is continuing since the last season.
Messi started the new season with his average extraordinary performances and with that he has scored 10 goals and assisted 5 times in 10 appearances.
But with all those stats there is another stat which is not likely to please Messi fans.
In those 10 appearances Messi managed to hit the woodwork 9 times and that is some consistency. It just looks like Messi have a new unlucky girl friend which he can not get rid of.
Last wednesday against Tottenham Hotspur he was on his typical Lionel Messi form. His performance got the whole footballing world to rethink. is he comparable to anyone? That is the question that everyone is asking in world media.
He was the architect on everything barca did on that Wembley pitch. He scored twice and was able to hit the same post two times back to back.
The way he is being hitting the post, the word unlucky should be an understatement . It seems like the post is also want to enjoy Lionel Messi's presence on the pitch .
Lionel Messi might be an expert when it comes to putting the ball in the net but the Barcelona superstar is also prolific when it comes to near misses.
In the last season he managed to hit the woodwork 14 times in La Liga which is a record number in a single La Liga season.

If you are a barca fan then you will surely want to end this love affair of Messi with the woodwork.
Once or twice it can be understandable but 9 times in 10 games is not a funny stat.
