Real Madrid and Croatia midfielder Luka Modric speaks after winning the trophy for the Best FIFA Men's Player of 2018 Award

Finally a human breaks the dominance of two footballing God's.

The Croatian wizard Luka Modric breaks the longest running FIFA best men's player of the year award dominance of Messi-Ronado duo which standed over a dacade .

The 33-year-old scooped the prize with 29% of the votes, beating nearest challenger Ronaldo by 10% and Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, also on the podium, who won 11.2% Of the votes.
"The emotion is huge because it is thanks to the work of everyone. So many people have come together and so many have supported me," said Modric on Monday.

Ronaldo and Messi, who ranked fifth this year, had shared the award – including during it’s Ballon d’Or rebranding – every years since 2007, when Kaka scooped the prize.

In 2015 Kaka said "It fills me with pride to stand alongside these great players, and to be the last player to have won the award before Messi and Ronaldo. You could say that I was the last Ballon d'Or winner to have been born on this planet."

And no one can argue with kaka's comments on them because the consistency Messi and Ronaldo showed to the footballing world that is unimaginable. They are the God's of many hearts .They have broken almost every record in football.
Finally don't forget they are still playing . And they will come back.
