Ballon d'Or 2018
After the confusing FIFA player of the year cermony happened in London on 24 September 2018, where the Best Goalkeeper award winner
Thibaut Courtois didn't get a spot in the FIFA FIFPro World XI and Dani Alves got a spot who was injured for almost the whole season, every genuine football lover thought that might be most hilarious thing a organization like FIFA can do but here is a new thing on the World Footballing radar.
What is it?
The Ballon d'Or organization French Football or the French Football magazine started a Official Poll of the 30 selected nominees on their website.

After some hours over 700,000 fans voted in that Poll and at that time Lionel Messi claimed the top spot with 48% of those votes. He may not be the favourite to claim that award because of the average World Cup performances.
Egyptian Mohammed Salah came second with 31% votes after having a impressive individual run with Liverpool.
The Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo was third on the list with the 8% vote.
But suddenly France Football removed the poll and the link is leading readers to Lionel Messi's tax issues. The fans are showing their anger on social networking sites.
Point is:-
This poll wasn't going to decide the player who will get this prestigious award this term.
France Football gave a chance to their readers to know their opinion but quite weirdly they took their Poll down.
When will be the award ceremony?
The winner will be announced on the
December 3rd 2018. Luka Modric is clearly the favorites tag holder after having an impressive season with club and country.
Conclusion:-
All though France won the World Championship and 7 of the 30 nominees are French players.
Anything can happen and as the FIFA award ceremony gave us lots of surprises you might never know what is lying in front of us on the December 3rd.
